Phnom Penh, 4 June 2026 – AIA (Cambodia) Life Insurance Plc (“AIA Cambodia”) today celebrated the successful first year of the AIA Healthiest Schools Programme 2025–2026 at an awards ceremony attended by senior government officials, partners, educators, and students.
Six winning schools:
Three primary schools — the champion is Svay Chrum Primary School, the 1st runner-up is Chaktomuk Primary School, and the 2nd runner-up is Samdech Preah Reach Akka Mohasei Norodom Monineath Sihanouk Primary School — and three secondary schools — the champion is Ang Chum Secondary School, the 1st runner-up is Kdey TaKoy Secondary School, and the 2nd runner-up is Bright Line International School — were recognized for their outstanding efforts in promoting well-being and embedding healthy practices within their school communities.
These winning schools will receive rewards from a total prize pool of USD 100,000, supporting the continued implementation and expansion of their health and wellbeing programmes.
In addition, the two champion schools will go on to represent Cambodia and compete with schools from nine other AIA markets at the annual regional competition in July 2026.
Speaking at the event, AIA Cambodia’s CEO, Ms. Jane Tay, underscored the importance of investing in youth: “Students are the future of Cambodia, and investing in their wellbeing is fundamental to building a stronger nation. Through initiatives like AIA Healthiest Schools, we aim to inspire young people to embrace healthy living, think creatively, and develop positive habits that will stay with them for life. By empowering them today, we are helping to shape a generation that is not only healthier, but also more confident, resilient, and ready to create a brighter tomorrow for Cambodia.”
The ceremony also highlighted innovation through an AI-powered Khmer-language speech, symbolizing how technology can enhance education and engagement.
AIA Cambodia extends its sincere appreciation to the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport for its strong partnership and guidance in implementing the programme, and to the Insurance Regulator of Cambodia for their valued support.
