Phnom Penh, 11th February 2023 – AIA (Cambodia) Life Insurance Plc’s (“AIA Cambodia”) launch of their Elite Pro and Elite Lite programs saw the Kingdom’s leading life and health insurer introduce proven entrepreneurial development packages that equip aspiring young Cambodians with the tools and processes to advance in the industry.
Elite Pro, which comes under the insurer’s 5-Star Elite Program, provides participants comprehensive skills and knowledge to attain financial independence. The unique offering also enables them to learn from top practitioners to accelerate their path towards becoming the next generation of AIA Cambodia leaders. Elite Lite is another proven program that empowers individuals who prefer the flexibility of pursuing multiple passions simultaneously.
The exclusive programs, each taking 18 months to complete, were officially launched with the theme “Limitless Career Opportunity” by AIA Cambodia Chief Agency Officer Mr. Vincent Chong. Those in attendance included Insurance Regulator of Cambodia (IRC) deputy director Mrs. Tan Linna, IRC Head of Department License and Legal Affairs Mr. Va Vichea, AIA Cambodia Chief Executive Officer Mr. Andrew Loh, invited guests and participants from the finance, banking, sales, and education industries.
In her speech, Mrs. Tan Linna said: “AIA has made remarkable achievements over the last five years. Today, it has reaffirmed its strong commitment to and confidence in the insurance market by introducing ‘Elite Pro’ and refreshing its ‘Elite Advisor’ program to further develop and improve the quality of Cambodian financial planners.”
Mr. Vincent Chong, in launching the programs, said: “Elite Pro provides numerous sources of support to young Cambodian talent as they journey towards career success. This is exemplified by the achievement of our 5-Star Elite offering, which last year saw AIA recruit 115 professional, high-quality Elite Advisor with an average income of $18,000 per annum.”
Mr. Va Vichea shared information on how insurance helps the Cambodian economy and boosts career opportunities. The 39 insurance companies operating here comprise 18 general insurers, 14 life insurers and seven microinsurance companies. From the total number of insurers, 34 of them have roughly 10,000 agents providing consultation services.
“AIA Cambodia is a role model insurer and has always complied with regulations, especially the agents’ coding directive enforced end 2022 to ensure that both existing and new agents are qualified and well-trained before commencing their careers,” he said.
